Hey everyone.  Finally can give you all an update.  Spent a couple days in Tucson seeing the Biosphere2 and the Sonora Desert Museum, also a bummer day sitting in a dentist chair getting a root canal. Oh well.  The on to Apache Junction near Pheonix sitting at a wonderful RV park,  with everything you could think of including a hot tub and swimming pool which we are taking some R&R time and enjoying.  The mountains and scenery is spectacular and we love the Sequora cactus.  Takes 70 years before it grows an arm!!!   Going to enjoy the sites around here for another few days and then head out to Yuma.  Hope to poke our noses into California for a bit seeing we're right there. Hope all is well with everyone. Cuidate. Hope to update later

We are doing great but unfortunately having a great deal of trouble trying to get on this site.   We are now in Tombstone AZ.  Very commercial but still really neat.  Had a beer in Big Nose Kate's Saloon.  She was Doc Holloways girl friend. Not sure where we're heading next.  Can't put any pics on this entry as I am doing it from my little iPod.  The  hp computer will not even allow me to get on my blog!!   Beautiful sunny weather and temps in the 60's. hope to able to at least update this once in a while.

January 11th---wild road

Today we drove from Lajitas to Persidio---all along the Rio Grande--what a road.  Up one hill -down another- one was labelled 'big hill', I had to get out and push us up that one!!!!-around every corner was another --ahhhh moment!   A couple of times you had to sit up and  look over the front of the hood of the truck to see where the road was going, the hill was so steep.  I have taken so many pictures, but like in Big Bend, you just cant capture the whole picture.  Tonight we went to see the lights of Marfa---if you want to see what they are and what they are supposed to look like--check it out on the web.

Left big Bend Park this morning and headed west--stopping at Terlingua--so see the Ghost Town--they had once mined cinnabar--or mercury here.  Then on to Lajitas--this is our campground here--not bad eh!!  Weather lovely.

January 7th, 1014 Heading west today--this is the Pecos river----you drive for miles and see nothing but sage brush and desert and then all of a sudden you come on this.  The water level is way down from the last time we saw it in 2006.  Heading for Big Bend Park tomorrow--hoping for warmer weather.
